About Candle in the Dark

    Candle in the Dark began as a studio project between Dave Temarantz, Brielle Temarantz, and John Lazz, sometime in 2016, with a few sheets of lyrics that needed music. Writing music to go with the words, the trio recorded (along with eventual CID bass player Gary Mikulski) the beginnings of CID. The idea gestated for a few years, as Dave and John recorded other, unrelated material, but eventually they were drawn back to the songs that started the project. Deciding to dive in and put their full creative force behind the production of the music, Dave and John began to shape the sound of Candle in the Dark, with Gary joining in to add his distinctive style to the music full time. Then began the search for a drummer to complete the project, and the search ended with Kevin Conway, whos sound and style fit in perfectly with CID, making the project complete. Along with more lyrical contributions from Brielle, Candle in the Dark wrote, recorded, and released a 6 song EP, "The Life I Live", in 2022. CID continues to write and record tons of new material for their next release, and can't wait to find out what's beyond the horizon for them.
